Japanese prints
The Liszt Collection offers an extensive collection of Japanese prints. Art from Japan which you can buy as fine art prints. Japanese prints were printed with woodblocks and for each color a different block of wood was used. Color Woodcuts often called ukiyo-e, which were made in the Edo period (1600 to 1868) and the Meiji period (1868 to 1912). Japanese art prints has many well-known artists. The most famous artist is Hokusai (1760-1849), other famous artists are Kitagawa Utamaro, Hiroshige, Utagawa Kunimasa, Toyohiro, Konishi Hirosada, Kamisako Niseko and many others.
